Transport Planning

With the transport module you plan transports for picking up, delivering and relocating vehicles or other rental assets, directly in your rental administration. A transport is scheduled automatically and assigned to a driver, and appears straight in the back office. A delivery to a customer or a relocation between branches therefore belongs to the booking itself, instead of living in a separate list or calendar. The transport planner is included in the Professional, Premium and Enterprise editions.

For rental companies. The module is part of RentVisie's rental software and is built for car rental companies and other fleet operators that deliver and collect vehicles or assets at customers, or move them between locations. So it is not a standalone planning tool for freight transport: every transport hangs off a booking in your own rental administration. If you need transport as part of a growing rental operation, this gives you one environment for bookings, transports and check-out.

As soon as a booking needs transport, the transport is scheduled automatically and assigned to a driver. In the transport planner you see per booking the booking number, the pick-up and return location, the licence plate, the vehicle's current location, whether transport is needed, and the pick-up and return dates. You view the planning per period and update it when bookings change. No retyping between the planning board and a transport list; everything sits directly in the back office.

Yes. The module supports different transport types, such as by trailer and over the road on its own wheels. That lets you use one transport environment for all your products and target groups: passenger cars driven to a customer, and assets that have to go on a trailer. It saves separate lists per transport type and keeps the overview in one planner and one administration.

Yes. The transport module is also available in the RentVisie Control App for smartphone and tablet. Staff plan and manage transports from the app, and everything is synchronised in real time with the back office, so the office and the field look at the same planning. When delivering or collecting at the customer, the same app handles the check-out or check-in, including digital inspection, damage registration and signing.

Yes. With Digital signing the customer signs not only rental agreements but also transport documents, damage forms and other business forms, via the RentVisie Control App or the customer portal. The signed document is processed immediately and lands in the booking's digital file. So a driver does not come back with paperwork that still needs scanning and filing.

Because a transport always belongs to a booking. If the planning lives in a separate system or spreadsheet, pick-up and return locations, dates and licence plates have to be retyped, and every change to the booking is processed twice. In RentVisie the transport is processed automatically and sits directly in the back office, with the same data as the reservation.
